Sam Tomlinson, racing in the Skip UK-backed Elise S2, was looking to put some points on the board and after qualifying seventh for race one believed that a top-five position was achievable.

As the race started so did the rain which played into Sam’s hands with his ability in the wet, and he managed to move up four places come the finish to end on the podium in third place.

Race two saw Sam start eighth on the reverse grid and start the race well. It was a battle of the tyre choices and was all going well for Sam until the last five minutes when the conditions dried up and with Sam on the wrong tyre he couldn’t repeat race one, finishing seventh.
